Online counselling for anxiety & overwhelm
If worry, racing thoughts or panic are running the show, you don't have to manage it alone. I offer warm, practical online therapy to help you calm your nervous system and feel like yourself again, wherever you are in the world.
Anxiety is one of the most common reasons people reach out, and one of the most treatable. Whether it shows up as constant worry, a racing mind at 3am, physical tension, or full-blown panic, it's your body's alarm system working overtime. Therapy helps you understand that alarm and gently turn down the volume.
How I help with anxiety
As an integrative therapist I'm trained in a broad range of modalities and choose what fits you. For this work I most often draw on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based techniques (MBCT). Together we'll look at the thoughts and patterns feeding your anxiety, and build practical tools you can actually use in the moment, not just talk about them.
Understand your triggers
Make sense of what sets your anxiety off and why, so it feels less random and frightening.
Calm your body
Learn grounding and breathing tools that settle the physical side of anxiety and panic.
Challenge anxious thoughts
Practical CBT skills to catch catastrophic thinking and respond differently.
Build lasting resilience
Small, sustainable changes so you feel more in control long after therapy ends.
What anxiety can look like
You might recognise some of these: persistent worry you can't switch off, trouble sleeping, irritability, avoiding certain situations, a churning stomach, or panic attacks that seem to come from nowhere. If any of that sounds familiar, counselling can help, you don't need to be "in crisis" to deserve support.
You don't have to wait until it's unbearable. Reaching out early often means feeling better, faster.
Sessions that fit your life
All sessions are online or by phone, across time zones, with a free 15-minute consultation to start. We go at your pace, in whichever way feels most comfortable for you.
Anxiety counselling FAQs
Yes, research shows telehealth therapy is as effective as in-person for anxiety, and many people find it easier to open up from a familiar, private space.
It varies. Many people notice a shift within a few sessions and build lasting skills over a short course of therapy. We review progress together and never rush.
I'm an integrative therapist, so rather than using one fixed method I draw on a broad range of evidence-based modalities and tailor them to you, including CBT, ACT, DBT-informed skills, mindfulness-based techniques (MBCT), person-centred, solution-focused, psychodynamic and motivational interviewing.
